If a card is requested, read the first charge date and any renewal terms. A no-card allowance is easier to distinguish from a subscription trial.

When does a paid plan make sense?
For occasional access
Look at the minimum purchase and what happens to unused allowance. A low unit price in a large package is only useful if you expect to use the included amount. Do not let a package size define the task for you.
For more than one function
Check each function separately. A photo allowance may not cover video, and output settings can change the unit cost. Compare the complete expected spend rather than a single headline price.

Does a free preview include download?
Not necessarily. Viewing a result and exporting the final file can have separate conditions.
Does private browsing change provider retention?
No. Browser privacy settings do not replace the service’s own retention rules or remove files already downloaded to your device.
What if a few credits remain but no function is affordable?
Check the smallest eligible operation and the minimum top-up amount. A remaining balance may be unusable on its own, and topping up can require a larger total purchase than the missing amount. The provider’s balance and refund terms determine the available options.
Does a free allowance establish the quality of a paid tier?
Only comparable functions and settings can support a direct comparison. A selected preview does not show the full range of results, and a different paid model may have different output conditions. Identify the actual feature difference before drawing a conclusion.
